For me, Woven Together, is the idea of creating works that weave together my memories, emotions into the physical by using objects, and direct images from the past. All the pieces included in this show are the physical remnants of past relationships, all collaged into a variety of quilt inspired patterns or fabric like abstracts. Creating my own quilt like art, much like traditional quilt making, "visualizing particular segments of history in tangible, textured ways", is my way of processing the past. A way of cataloging my particular view of life in a familiar way.
